Introducing AI tools into the work processes of various government bodies to enhance their efficiency

The “neural network revolution” of the early 2020s has provided us with a new high-tech tool: powerful and widely accessible generative AI. The largely spontaneous adoption of this technology has given rise to numerous challenges that require systematic academic study.

Research areas:

1. Testing generative AI services and applications and developing guidelines for their use and integration into professional workflows;

2. Studying the social consequences of the rapid development of AI, particularly its impact on journalism, public relations, and education;

3. Developing technologies for implementing enterprise AI solutions based on open-source models.

Interim results:

– Training course “Generative AI: Accessible Tools for Government and Business”

– Guidelines for using generative artificial intelligence in the information and communications activities of government bodies and organizations (Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus)

Social Media and Government Public Relations

Improving public communications by government bodies through the use of modern media technologies

The effectiveness of government public relations — or, in the terminology used in official documents, information and communications activities — depends directly on the methods and tools employed. Today, a press office cannot afford to ignore social platforms, influencer marketing, algorithmic news feeds, and other features of the contemporary media landscape.

Research areas:

1. Developing methods for evaluating the effectiveness of government bodies’ online activities;

2. Preparing guidelines for the effective use of social media to disseminate information and obtain feedback from the public;

3. Studying the social, psychological, and political phenomena associated with the extensive use of emerging communication technologies in government public relations.

Interim results:

– Guidelines for organizing the work of local executive and administrative bodies on social media platforms and messaging services

– Selected findings were incorporated into training courses and lectures for participants at the Institute of Civil Service of the Presidential Academy.
